Vidicons
We still have some High Resolution Vidicons for sale!
We have 5/8 inch and 1 inch types containing either antimony trisulfide
targets or silicon targets. The 5/8 inch vidicons that we have still
available are Z7969H-1, Z7969NA(TAS), and Z7969SC. The 1 inch vidicons
that we have still available are Z7803M-1 and Z7803SM. To purchase

HISTORY
General Electric started manufacturing vidicons in 1965 in Syracuse,
New York. In 1978, General Electric, moved the vidicon manufacturing
and design to GE's Owensboro location. In 1987, GE sold it's Microwave
Products Department to a group of private investors, who named the
new company, MPD, Inc. In 1998, MPD Components ceased manufacture
of its vidicon products due to decreased demands. Shown below is our
current inventory resulting from the last production operations.
